In part 1 of Bathroom Stylistic Trends we examined minimalist bathroom design, that style being personified by gleaming white fixtures and near pristine white walls with white floors and simple fixture shapes. We discovered that style is not only a feeling but it is how your bathroom looks as well. We also found out that choosing materials and designing your bathroom go hand in hand together. When we think of the term “period” we are referring to the stylistic trends of a certain point in time, an example being the 1930’s or 1980’s fashionable taste in furniture, architectural features, colors, textures, materials and decor. When trying to emulate a “period” bathroom you are trying to recreate the style of that particular era while remaining faithful to the shapes, colors, textures and décor from the past.
