After all, your friends will likely see the bathroom before the end of their visit. Shutting the door will only delay the inevitable!
Simple hints to bring the life back into your bathroom!
1. Replace the Faucet
Believe it or not, your faucet will set the tenor for your entire bathroom. It seems to be the focal point that is noticed first when you walk into a bathroom. If your faucet is one of those old, traditional faucets, it is time to replace it with one that has some style.
What is neat about a faucet is that you can find very stylish faucets in many different price ranges to fit within anyone’s budget.
2. Change Your Existing Accessories
Even if you are not looking to do some major bathroom renovations, you can still create an updated bathroom that will shine just by changing a few accessories. Consider getting a new towel ring or towel rack. How about a getting a new curtain rod and rings?
These accessories can come in a variety of finishes, from chrome to brushed nickel to bronze. Just changing these accessories out will add sparkle to your bathroom.
3. Add new Accessories
Not sure what to add to your bathroom décor? If you do not have a towel ring, add one next to the vanity sink for guests to use instead of using your bath towels. Get designer towels specifically to match the décor in your bathroom.
How about adding a vanity shelf for extra storage and a stylish way to hold all of those bathroom necessities? A fun accessory is a towel warmer. Imagine what your guests will say when they see something that is usually only seen in expensive hotel rooms!
4. New Lighting Fixtures Will Brighten it up
You will likely spend the beginning of your morning in the bathroom. Adding new light fixtures will pick up your mood and brighten your morning. You should choose two, three or four bulb fixtures to add enough light to your mirror area. For more light and more style, you can add side sconces. These are great to create a relaxing atmosphere for a bubble bath!
5. Paint the Walls
Your walls will get dim looking from steam, hairspray, little hands and all of the other things that you and your family would do in the bathroom for your daily rituals. A new shade of paint will add life automatically to the room you spend so much time in.
You can also try new painting techniques, such as stencils, to add a sense of uniqueness to your private space. The type of paint you use should either be mildew resistant or you can have the store you purchase your paint from stir in an additive that will make the paint resistant to mildew.
6. Install a new Showerhead
There are a variety of showerheads you can get for your shower each with a multitude of functions. Showerheads can be adjustable, handheld or massaging. A new showerhead is an update that the entire family can enjoy and a luxurious update to your bathroom.
Turn your boring shower into a home spa shower by installing a two-wall diverter system that will spray and invigorate your whole body from top to bottom and from all directions.
Add new life into your bathroom with these simple changes and begin your day off with a fresh and enlightening mood that will leave your friends wondering why you’re in such high spirits.
