Conair Personal Grooming Website Review
Conair is well known for its bath & spa as well as its personal grooming products (hair dyers and curling irons). Conair Corporation is a United States corporation which sells appliances, personal care products, and health and beauty products for both professionals and consumers. It was founded in 1959 and has since expanded to include ten product divisions. When you first step onto the Conair home page you are greeted by a calming blue navigation bar with dropdown menus that are well organized and intuitive to the user. The two main categories to service online shoppers (the shopping cart and customer care menu’s) are prominently well placed for easy access and the sitemap offers effortless navigation, so if you know what you are looking for, you can go straight to the desired product category which makes for straightforward and trouble free browsing.
The Conair website has a sizeable diversified line of hair, personal grooming, bath & spa, garment & home care, wellness, oral care and travel smart product groups. The category that caught my attention was the bath & spa section which was further broken down into other manageable categories: bathroom-scales, lighted-mirrors, pollenex-reg-showerheads, foot-baths, facial-care and manicure accessories. The foot baths, especially the Cord Reel Foot Spa looked really inviting with its vibration and heat, massage rollers and water jet aerating bubble strips. Oh what joy after being on your feet all day!
While Conair did not have a 24 hr – 7 days a week number, they did offer a standard 1-800 contact number for customer service between the hours of 8am – 8pm EST, Monday – Friday which could be improved by offering a more extensive service. Order tracking of shipments, shipping discounts and the fact that you could actually contact them by mail did make up for this one shortcoming. Orders can only be shipped within the U.S., Canada, and to APOs. If you live within any of those areas, then the shipping is fairly reasonable and most in stock orders to the U.S. will ship within 1 business day of receipt. Methods of payment include Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, but do not include Paypal as an alternative payment method. Checkout is standard along with suggestions as to what else may go with your purchase.
The Conair site is thoughtful and well arranged no flashy showboating or any unnecessary flash. The colors and layout are trendy and easy to maneuver about, though the grey at the bottom leaves much to be desired. Overall it is a good site with plenty of bathroom personal care products to keep any stylist happy and Conair Nail Glitter and Gem for the little princess in your life.
